I copied a video disk into an external hard drive. It was a movie off a video tape I had recorded. When I brought up Vegas 9 premium it will only find .vf files. This one is video_ts. In Vegas 9 premium on my desktop PC I had no problem loading video from a DVD into Vegas. In this laptop the only option I get is .vf files. Video-ts didn’t have an extension looks like. The PC was running XP

VIDEO_TS is the folder (and folders don’t have extensions) that contains all the files necessary for playing back on a DVD player.
These include .BUP, .IFO and .VOB files.
The .VOB files are the ones you want to import.
My guess is that you’re trying to open a file and that’s why you’re getting .vf files only.
    Try “File – Import” instead.
You will need to select “all files” in the import list as .VOB files are not regular import file types.

Sounds good. Nero opened it ok. I’ll try looking in the folder. In the past it copies as a .vob file. I would think there should be vob files in it as this folder is a gig big. I couldn’t find files in the folder to bring into vegas. Ho hum. Nothing is easy.

OK That did it. I had to open vegas and give a name to the new project. that allowed me to import it. Although I might have wanted to just select some of the titles. Could be though there was only one big title. I will have to look into this aspect. Thanks for the quick response.
