Videohub and blanking
Silly question that I can’t seem to solve.
I wanted to show a student what VITC looks like off a digibeta. I patched the videohub from the digibeta to a BVM monitor, switched on the blanking view and discovered that the blanking was black, no vitc. I spent sometime trying to find any blanking info and only managed to see it when I hard cabled the digibeta and the monitor. As there are prefs of this nature in the hub, I can’t see why it would not work.Please could someone confirm to me that the videohub does not blank out the first 16 lines?

We often do HDCAM to digi and digi to digi dubs via the videohub using VITC to jam sync and it works every time so you must be doing something strange.
