    Hi Rob,
    I may be wrong, but I think there is just one option, or at least I didn’t found no one else when I replace it the one of my 2004 G5. Is the “ATI Radeon 9600”; Mac edition.
    Improvement in the Cache: 256 vs 128 of the old one.
    This card comes with DVI connexions, so if your monitor uses the old one, you may need to buy an adapter.

    I have an NVidea geforce 6600 which is 256mb…do you think that this is the best this machine can go?

    A non Intel Mac don’t gonna get more performance with a better GPU.
    All the new render-in-GPU software is to be ran in Intel.
