Video within titles
Ok here is one.
How do you place video footage within the text itself?
I have a title that is thick lettering and I want to put video IN the text and matte the background white…..if that makes sense. Thanks.

Click on Walter Biscardi’s head at the top of the forum page. That will take you to his bio and to his tutorials on creating luma and travel mattes. There are 3 tutorials in the series and (not that I’ve ever done it) I think you need to turn your text into a luma or travel matte so your video will show through the text after it’s made transparent. The text colour has to be white for this to work, I think.
Anyway, Walter explains it all in his tutrorials.

place your white or other backgroung on V1, the text on V2, and the video to fill the text on V3. Right-click v3 and change the composite mode to travel matte luma. That should do it.
