Now I don’t know if this is just what happened when you render something, I know the quality obviously goes down but I’ve noticed something weird in a test video I’ve done and would like to know if theres a way to make it look better.

Here’s my Dropbox with my project settings and the rendered example.

KH Ep 1 : This is the render, take a look at when the three people start running, especially the guys (very noticable on Sora, the one in red) They look.. ‘blurry’ for lack of a better word (and perhaps a bit of ghosting), in the original recording it’s very smooth looking.

I would show the original file’s scene but unfortunately it’s a 2 hour .m2ts file (720P with an HD-PVR) and virtualdub won’t let me just cut that scene out. But it definitely should not look like how it’s rendering.

I rendered them using the Sony AVC mp4 setting, with 1280×720-25 template.

Not sure what settings to play around with here.

Have to tried to Disable the sampling. Right mouse on the event on the timeline then click properties then click Disable resample. Do a short render to see if it fixed that ghosting effect.

I think that John has the right answer – let us know how it works.
Did you know that you can host your photos and videos on the forum so that you can keep your Dropbox space for yourself?

That is correct, Disable Resampling should do the trick.
