    Hi everyone,

I would to know if anyone had a tutorial to create a videowall fx.
i need to do this shot with 20 different videos.
They appear fading in slowing and populating the screen they go faster to all be there.
I know i could just go and do it manualy but just wondering if there is any plugin or above all method to get it done quickly.
BTW, the edit setting is HD 1080i @50fps

    thanks a bunch.

How will you PLAY 20 different video sources in perfect sync?

Wolsky’s FCP3 book had a great tutorial for doing a 3×3 matrix. The problem with 20 is it’s not square which means the wall will not fill the screen completely.

the easiest way to do this effect is in After Effects with distribution/alignment plugins from any of several vendors.

Also try searching the cow’s AE tutorial section.

You might try telling us more about what you mean by “video wall.” Does this include the illusion that the images are playing on video sets with bezels and glare on the screens or are you just looking for a matrix of nested tracks?

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

I think I’d just make a grid matte in photoshop and then align the tracks underneath, scaling and cropping as desired.

    Hi,

Video wall, I have a lot of portraits and i need to make them appear on the screen to create a patchwork, a grid of faces.
I didn’t want to go to after effect as the edit is not locked just
    in offline for the moment.
I think the gridguide from photoshop is a good stuff.
I might have to go to after effect as so much HD flux to be handle
in FCP could be very slow.

Thanks a lot fot your advices.

    cheers
