    Hello,
I have a couple DVDs that I need to bring into Final Cut so I can cut them down. The DVD was given to me as a Video TS File, and I need to know how to transfer it to a file that will open in Final Cut and allow me to make changes. Thank you

As Chuck says: MPGStreamclip. Incredible program.
If you must reedit the film:
_ Don’t export as DV because what you will get will be a DVStream. The kind of files that iMovie uses.
    – Export Qt movie with at least DV%0 or 8b Uncompress to get the most possible quality from the Video_Ts. Try to set all the parameter so you don’t need to re-render in FC.
