You should be able to highlight the transition with the selection (arrow) tool and then just hit the delete key.

Okay. But I promise in the past It shortened my clip. I will be careful to follow the above direction. Thanks

Okay just to be sure I opened a project, found a half second cross-dissolve, highlighted it with the arrow tool and hit the delete key. The transition disappeared but the length of my project didn’t change. Not even by one frame. Make sure you’re using the main delete key and not the one below the help key on a full sized keyboard.

Again I am not sure why this happens to me. But I promise it does. The work around I found tonight is if I highlight the transition, right click and cut rather than hit the delete key my clip does not change.
