Posted by Jennifer Arani on February 8, 2009 at 10:17 pmHello,
When you change your mind about a transition….how do you delete it without taking some of the clip with it?Thanks!

February 8, 2009 at 10:52 pmYou should be able to highlight the transition with the selection (arrow) tool and then just hit the delete key.

February 8, 2009 at 11:26 pmOkay just to be sure I opened a project, found a half second cross-dissolve, highlighted it with the arrow tool and hit the delete key. The transition disappeared but the length of my project didn’t change. Not even by one frame. Make sure you’re using the main delete key and not the one below the help key on a full sized keyboard.

February 9, 2009 at 11:46 pmAgain I am not sure why this happens to me. But I promise it does. The work around I found tonight is if I highlight the transition, right click and cut rather than hit the delete key my clip does not change.
Thanks for your help
