    hi all,

i have a few questions here,

In ffmpeg, which process is involved in video transcoding? is it all the transcoding process(quantization, DCT, entropy coding) involved or only certain part of it?

    Thank you in advance..

That would depend on the codec used.

FFMPEG is able to read and encode a lot of codecs, many of which use some or all of these methods, and it can also write uncompressed raw video.
