Video Testimonial
Currently editing a video testimonial. I’ve got two clips of the same person but from different recording times which I was to put together, but don’t have access to B-roll footage. Any ideas how to cover the edit up? or make it no obvious.
I attempted using “Morph” as the subject doesn’t move much but it decided to do some funky stuff on the background. -

You can create a fake zoom cut by simply scaling up the image to 125 or 140% and making it look like there was a second camera or that you zoomed in between answers. Stay on the scaled up shot for about 10 – 15 seconds or to a natural cut point.
Can add a few more of these throughout the testimonial so it doesn’t look obvious as just one cut in the entire thing. Can also reposition the shot slightly off center left or right.

I agree with Walter on this….we do it all the time.
helps if you are cutting to a master size smaller than source media
for example….
footage shot 1080 but cutting in a 720 sequence…
when doing this….make sure that prefs>Default Scale to frame size is unchecked before you import your cam material into the project…otherwise the footage will automatically scale to the sequence resolution when editing….not what you’d want in in this case.
