video target size calc
I was curious if anyone knew of a target size/bitrate calculator.
I’m occasionally asked to output a lower res video for proofs and sometimes am asked for a specific size. For example sending a 30MB version of a 2min 720p 2 min video. Through down sizing and altering the bit rate i can get close, but i was wondering if anyone knew of preferably an iPhone app tat you could plug in source spec and target spec and be given the final spec.

Taking your example…
Target = 30mbytes (30×8 = 240mbits)
Duration = 120 seconds240/120 = 2mbits/sec (or 2000kbs in the Quicktime Video Settings window)
Frame size and framerate are irrelevant in terms of file size provided you specify the bitrate.
