Can someone tell me what causes a strobe effect when a video is output to DVD? The original footage is BetaSP, edited and exported from Avid Adrenaline, compressed with Compressor 2.0 and authored in DVD Studio Pro. Three of my DVD features are playing back fine and I processed those with all the same settings as the main piece. The main piece, however, has this strobe effect.

    ANy thoughts?

    A cruel joke by Avid.
You have to do a video mixdown of your entire sequence and export that as a reference.
This simply kills when exporting a 90 minute 1:1 show.
Shame on em for advertising the ease of authoring with adrenaline.

Well, I had exported lower field first (because it was BetaSP footage). When I exported upper field first, it resolved the problem.
