Hello. I’m having problem with video size. Software I use is Adobe premiere Pro CS4. Camera, which I’m capturing from is HDR-HC5. Video size is very large. 1 min is over 300 MB. Then I opened Media Encorder CS4. I converted video, size was normal but video was disgusting. I tried configuring. Sometimes it converted with good quality but I want best quality and size was normal. So my problem is that I don’t know how to convert. Is that possible? Thanks and sorry for my bad English.

Good quality video takes a lot of space and if you lower the bitrate it will get worse. That is something you have to deal with.

    Otto,

Uncompressed HD video is 6 gig per minute.
So, 300 mb per minute is very compressed already – this is actually pretty small for video.

So, I’d suggest if you want ‘best quality’ I’d leave the files alone and look at purchasing larger hard drives.

    Best,
