    Hi everyone,

So here’s what I have going on:

On V1 I have a multicam sequence. On V2 & V3 I have alpha channeled .psd files (lower third background & lower third text). When the playhead gets to the frame where the .psd files begin to fade in, the video shifts up 2-3 pixels. Then when the playhead passes the .psd files the video shifts back down to its original position.

I have never experienced this before, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Is everything fully, fully rendered?
B/c realtime renders will jump a little on play back…

    Thanks Chris,

I think that after almost 2 hours of troubleshooting (checking dimensions of image vs. video vs. sequence, field settings/dominance, different image formats, etc, etc), I finally discovered the cause to the problem.

If one of my video files that I was multi-camming between had just a “Color Balance” effect on it (this is on the sequence that has four cameras synced; and that one sequence is now on V1 of my edited/final sequence) and is the active clip when the lower third graphic appears, the video jumps…..but only when it IS rendered.

I had other cameras that I used “Color Balance” on along with “Fast Color Corrector” and these clips didn’t not exhibit the jump. So my quick fix for the time being is the simply add a “Fast Color Corrector” effect to the troubled files and not actually tweak any of the settings on it.

    Now I’m off to continue re-checking, re-rendering, and re-mastering. Fun! 😉
