Video resolution for L.E.D panel question
Hi, I’ve got a question with regards to rendering a video in After Effects for playback on a L.E.D video wall.
The size and resolution I’ve received:
287.2 cm width x 240 cm height = 718px x 600px
I’m concern about pixellation of the video as the resolution seems to be really small. Would it help if I rendered the video out in a larger resolution? What can I do to ensure that the quality of the video does not compromise too much?
Also, is there a way to do a render for the client to see exactly how the video would turn out on this L.E.D screen?

The resolution is small but the LED’s might be huge. I’d use that resolution as my comp setting.

You have a pixel density of about 6.35 ppi (or 2.5 px/cm).
Put another way, the pixel pitch (distance from one pixel to the next) is 4mm. That’s actually quite good! You have to remember that large LED displays like this are meant to be viewed from a bit further back.
