Is there a way to import a movie file (green screen footage) in order to use as a reference for lining up objects with the camera?

Right now, I’ve got the movie file mapped to a plane and it is in perfect alignment with the camera. the shot is a dolly, and the created object gets closer to the camera as it dollies. however, as I scrub through the timeline, the video doesn’t play on the plane. Either I’m setting this up wrong, or I am missing a selection somewhere.

    Can someone help me out?

Update. Camera Mapped to Plane to Keep in place, but How do I get the Clip to play as I track?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Don’t forget to post your solution, especially if you’re going to take the time to post that you solved it. That way you’re part of a growing database of helpful–and searchable–information.
    Thanks!
