I have 2 identical computers(Dual 2.5 & 3 gig ram) and I am editing a piece that requires a psd template with text and 2 videos overlayed over the template. For some reason, when I render and export the project as an mp4 on one computer, the video looks fine and on the other, the text and video breaks up. As a matter of fact, the one that breaks up even looks broken up when the video is playing back on the timeline. When I have the video paused on the timeline, it looks good. I’m thinking that either the render settings or playback must be different but from what I can tell, they are the same. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

Things won’t look better than what you see in the Canvas before exporting, so troubleshoot it until it looks right in the Canvas.

Might make sure that the PSD is exactly the same size as the sequence’s size…i.e. 720X480 if DV NTSC etc…

Until it looks right in the Canvas it’s not going to look right on any sort of export don’t think.

CS 3 actually lets you work in different pixel aspects too. I’d make sure they match with the sequence settings in both size and pixel aspect ratio. Any resizing on the project FCp is going to degrade the quality.
