video preview window
Please help with a basic problem, I have vegas 6 have been using for a few months with little issue but today my video preview window has disappeared. The “view” drop down box indicates it is active but it just doesnt appear, I have looked off the sides of the screen and eliminated it being hidden, been through all the settings and preference boxes, rebooted the system in case it defaulted to re-establish it but to no avail, everything else is operating perfectly. Its got to be somthing very simple but cant sort it out. Any info to avoid further frustration thanks

Even though you’ve looked all those places, I still bet it’s “hidden”. I can think of two places:
1. OFF the screen.
2. Tabbed with other windows.If it’s off the screen, try changing your screen resolution, finding it, dragging it back, and then resetting your screen resolution.
Worst case scenario: Hold down CTRL-SHIFT while you Start Vegas. That will reset it back to factory defaults (including all the preference settings you WANTED changed).

I bet it’s hiding under the windows taskbar. Minimize it or move it and it’s probably there.
