video preview problem
hi
after a couple of minutes playing back video on avid xpress pro,the video stops playing like it ran out of memory or something and I have to restart my computer.
I have 1gb ram
oh and sometimes I get an error message “too many preloads”
does anyone can help? -

First, get more memory.
You can set how much video is buffered into memory. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the command (you type it in the console, and if you type in the wrong thing, you can do some serious damage…)
Do a search in Avid help on ‘play length’ (I would, but I’m in my Homer jammies at the moment…)
