video preview disappears
I just got sony vegas platinum, and I was wondering how to keep my preview window on the screen. If I try to put an fx or switch to transitions or anything my preview window disappears and I have to close whatever I’m doing so I can see my changes. any help. thanks

? If you close whatever you’re doing, HOW then, do you SEE your changes?

Undock your preview window and move it away from the other modules. Use the little dots in the upper left hand corner and drag it away.

Actually, I’d guess it’s the other way around. It sounds like the FX and Transition windows may be docked on top of the preview screen and need to be undocked. Do as Terry said and click on the little dots in the upper left corner of the dialogs and drag away from that area.
