Video plugin or post editing software that recognizes pre determined text
Hi,
This might be a weird question but I was wondering if there is any plugin (preferably for Sony Vegas) or standalone post editing software that is able to recognize specific text. The reason I’m asking this, is that I have a lot of gaming footage and in some of that footage I’m playing on private accounts that have a different ingame name and I want these ingame names to be blurred out in the footage.
So for example, if you look at this picture: https://imgur.com/PSTrDh1
you’ll see my name (marked by the pink arrows) and I want the software to automatically blur out any instance of that name in my footage. The way I imagine this to work is that I enter the text up front in the software before processing, hit start to process and than the software recognizes any occurrences in the footage and blurs it out. It doesn’t need to look pretty or anything.
I can’t place static blurs in my regular editing software because the position of my name varies in the various clips and in some clips even dynamically changes in position (rolling killfeed). I’m aware I’m asking the software to do somewhat advanced tech (recognizing pre determined pixels) but I was wondering if such a thing exists. It would greatly help me out.

It’s just VEGAS. It’s owned by Magix.
I don’t know of any plugins that would automatically do that.

Yes you are right. I sometimes forget Magix bought it.
