I shot a clip with a Panasonic HVX200v and a P2 card. The information: set to F1, 30fps, shutter at 1/60th. When I log and transfer in FCP, the sequence settings revert to DVCPRO720p60. When the popup asks if I want to change setting my answer is no. When I play it in the timeline at the above setting, the audio is out of sync. When I slow down the video (90%), the video is shorter.
I was told to set the fps to 1/30th, l/t as usual, sequence settings DVCPRO720p30, it still plays out of sync.
    Please help. Thanks in advance.

Did you shoot 720p30…or 720p 30PN? If you shot 720p30, then it is 30fps over 60…meaning that every other frame repeats, so you have the 30fps look, but still running at the 720p standard 60fps. if you shot 30pN, then you actually have 30fps recorded onto the card.

Always click YES when the application asks you if you want the clip and sequence settings to match.

If your audio drifts when you do click YES, then be sure to uncheck REMOVE PULLDOWN in the Log and Transfer prefs.

    Shane,

Thanks for your suggestion. It is working fine. I shot it 720p.

Another issue, how would I correct the problem with footage that has already been log and transferred?
    Again, 720p 30fps, 1/60th on the shutter.

    Re-transfer it.
