    hi there,

first of all let me tell you my sequence and video details
video footage and sequence settings: XDCAM EX 1080i

when i playback my videos from my SONY EX3 or from Quicktime they look fine.

i have notice the during playback in FCP my video jump/(like pixelate transition).
But if i exported it everything looks normal.

So am guessing is something on the preview. I have attach you a photo to have look at it and tell me your opinion why this problem happens: 5007_screenshot20121128at08.49.00.png.zip

First I thought your render was on ‘preview’ but this looks much more bad. Maybe a codec issue? In the sequence settings?

Does is also happen when you play the clip(s) in the viewer?

in the viewer the clip seems OK. I believe also is a sequence/timeline issue. The sequence has the same settings with the video footage. When i insert them in the timeline FCP does not pop up any format and timeline does not need render either. So this tell me that video footage and sequence are ok.

I have install xdcam codec again but nothing helps.

I have work other projects in the past with the same setup but its the first time happening to me.

It looks like your hardware can’t buffer it. Too much information for the hardware. It is strange thought. For me this happens when i play a big mp4 h264 in vlc player, but when I play it in quicktime, it’s ok.

So I’m only guessing here. It’s not THE answer you need, but this is as far as I know. Never had the problem myself.
