Hi- Im working in a sequence configured for MPEG4 at 320×240. I cant seem to get the canvas to playback from the sequence, though indiviual clips will play in the viewer window. The sequence will playback on NTSC monitor. Choices on the video playback pulldown dont make any difference. Any ideas about getting the viewer to playback from the sequence? Thank you

It won’t play in the CANVAS? But it will play on an external monitor? That sounds backwards.

What do you see on the CANVAS when you play back on the timeline?

RIght- it plays back on the external NTSC monitor. The canvas shows a still frame that the cursor is positioned on when I press play. And yes, it seems backward to me as well. Im using footage gathered from the web as well as custom weather maps purchased from a weather company. They are mostly 320×240 so I am working with that size in the Sequence settings.

Click on the % above the window and choose FIT TO WINDOW?

fit to window had no effect on my problem. Much of the footage Im using has a frame rate of 15fps. Could this be part of the issue?

Go to Final Cut Pro tab/Audio/Video Settings/A/V Devices and make sure Mirror on desktop is checked. Unchecked will only show still frames in the canvas.
