  Video pauses after slide…

  Good mornning!
  We’re having a problem I’m hoping someone hase experience with…

  A fair portion of our product are 50 minute presentations with PowerPoint slides. We tape the speaker, then add the slides in post. When viewing the DVD the video pauses (not stutters) after showing a slide. The audio continues, but the video hangs for about 1 second.

  Here’s the workflow –
  Edit in Avid XPress Pro 5.1 (QT reference, native dimensions)
  Encode in Sorenson (data rate around 4500, I frame usually set for 12 or 6)
  Burn in Sonic Reel DVD

  Any ideas? Does the I frame rate need to be higher?
