I use transparent video overlays to add footnotes in various parts of my film. Suddenly I find that after I have put in one footnote and then a second one further on, the wording of the first footnote has somehow changed to the same wording as the second footnote. Then each successive footnote changes all the previous ones. I have never had this problem before. Can someone kindly help please?

What do you mean by “transparent video overlay”?
Are you doing this with the default Text Media generator?
If so, are you doing a copy/paste of the original media?
    More information is always helpful.

If you are duplicating the tracks as you go along that
will happen (If im reading your post correctly).

Thanks for your quick response guys. I have resolved the problem now. I wasn’t duplicating the texts but my preset contained the words of the last text entered which I then deleted and overwrote. I think that this caused the problem. My new preset presents a blank space for the new text and this seems to have worked. Thanks again.
