  video out of a powerbook

  got a DVD+R that won’t play on my desktop dvd players. want to play it from my powerbook that can read it then send it out the s-video port and into a deck then into FCP. Doesn’t seem to be working. Did alot of research, and is it true that you need a device or app that will play the video through the s-video port correctly??
