I have a .mov file that I’m bringing into AE, and upon import it just shows a solid green box. The preview tile shows that there is audio, however I do not hear it. The issue is no video frames, just a solid color. I went into media encoder and bounced it out as an MP4 and am still getting the same issue. Please help!

I fear you have a corrupt file. Do you have access to a more original source file. Hopefully still on camera. How long is the clip supposed to be and how big is the data?

Try changing the “Video Rendering and Effects” from Cuda to OpenCL to Software and see if making that change helps. I had a similar issue in Media Encoder once, might help here too.

And always check another viewing option.
PPr, VLC, AME, QT, WMP, etc…

And if you do transcode, don’t transcode with another Adobe app. I’ve found when AE has issues with a file, AME often does too.

This is where the free version of Resolve helps.
For some, it’s required.
I have four NLEs on most of my systems and boy you can sure waste a lot of time tinkering with bad codecs 😛
