    hello-

i wanted to know if there is a video equivalent to shift-open apple-4. in other words, i want to capture, on video, a video that is playing on my desktop; i have a client who has a flash video online but not the original QT file, so wants to know if i can play the flash file in a safari window and capture it while it plays.

    thanks,

    smith

Google Mac video screen capture and you will find many programs that will do this (it’s not built in like screen grab is)

The program I use is called. ishowu

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

If you use Firefox, the add-on “Video Download Helper” will allow you to capture the .flv file and save it. If you add the Perian codec to Quicktime, you can play the flash file using QT Player. As Zane mentioned, there are many other utilities, such as WireTap, Camtasia and others for just doing a capture from your screen display.

    IShowU HD.

I tried a few different apps, such as camtasias, jing, and Ishow U standard.

IsShowU HD is the way to go, it is incredibly flexible

    Good Day
