Video No Longer Showing in Record Monitor
Hi,
I’m a newbie with Avid. I’m taking some online courses where they allow you to download project files to follow along with the instructor. I just completed a splicing of back and forth shots with extreme long shots and medium shots.
The instructor then taught me how to do an overwrite in the middle of the timeline. I noticed after completing that, there was a duplicate clip somewhere else in my timeline. I highlighted one clip, clicked delete and moved the video timeline over.
Now, the video no longer plays in the record monitor (it’s grey), but the audio plays just fine.
Any ideas?? Thanks so much!

Did you happen to turn off the monitor on V1 track? It’s where you activate the tracks (or not) when editing.

I really appreciate your reply 🙂 I figured it out. I just quit Avid and reloaded my project and the video now played.
