video monitor
So I need to watch my video on a Sony PVM video monitor. I want to see exactly what amount of cropping will occur on a TV, and also to get rid of the vibrating video captures (due to freeze framing on a half-frame)
I have the smaller DVI port and the larger ADC port on the back of my G5. My CRT monitor is plugged into the DVI port. I have an adapter for DVI to RCA/S-Video that I can attach my Sony video monitor to, but it doesn’t show what’s in the Final Cut viewer or canvas like it would on a TV, it shows what the computer monitor shows, but oddly cropped (I can see my icons and menu bar)
Should I get an adapter that converts ADC to RCA/S-video? Do I need a DV deck? How else can I know what a TV would see if the video were, say burned onto and watched from a DVD? Thank you!
