  Video Monitor Advice

  Hello All,

  I need to replace our 13 year old Sony PVM Monitor, and was hoping someone might have some suggestions. We don’t edit in HD as of yet, but will be moving to that within a year or so.
  If we are working in a 4×3 ratio now, should we be worried about burning in a wide screen, because the edges would be black most of the time?

  It would be ideal if we could keep it around $1000.

  Any advice is appreciated.
