video mask problem
Hi, I haven’t used after effects for the best part of three years and working on a small project and would greatly appreciate some advice.
I have a black and white tiff file of a certain silhouetted shape, as well as a mpeg-2 video file. What I am trying to achieve in after effects is to have the video playing within the silhouette shape. I’m sure this is very simple to achieve but i’m struggling to find any solution online at the minute.
Its probably worth mentioning that i intend to add some simple animation to the silhouette, and to add some texture around the video mask.

What you need is a track matte.
