I hope this is the right place to ask:

I’m in video production and a client wants to have a short litte video (about 6-10 sec) to play in loop on her intro-site. I contaced her webdesigner and he had no clue which format to use best other than not to use flash video, since it is problematic with iPhones and iPads and bigger companies that sometimes don’t have a flash player installed on their browsers.

Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    hello…

if you want to support all mobile devices and non-flash visitors (always a nicer thing to do), then you can use html5 video with a flash fallback.

there are a ton of code snippets out there to do this (video.js, video for everybody, etc.), but here’s a simple code breakdown:

you can set up html5 video to loop automatically, as you can the embeded fallback flash movie…

    hope that helps!
