I have a project I’m currently editing. It was shot on HDCam @ 1080p and 23.98 fps. It was captured thru a Kona 3 10bit uncompressed using the 1080p/23.98 easy setup.
When I play the clips back in either the viewer or canvas, the level of the video will change from what it is while sitting on a still frame. When I play the clip the video level will increase, mostly with what looks like a rise in the black levels. When I stop playback, it will drop back down. The output from the Kona 3 to my monitor, however, stays at the same level. No change whether on a still frame of while playing. It only changes on the viewer/canvas screens.
Running FCP 5.1 on a Quad G5/OS 10.4. Media playing back from a Huge raid. Kona 3 for I/O to G5. Latest Kona 3 drivers. Media brought in via HD SDI.

It isn’t a huge deal but is a bit annoying when trying to do color grading. Anyone have any ideas on why it might be doing this?
