  • Video lags after Exporting

I’m trying to export my video but having nothing but trouble. After I exported my video using the Adobe Encoder, the video is laggy.

    Video was shot at 30fps.

    EXPORT SETTINGS:
    Format: H.264
    NTSC
    1440×1080
    Frame Rate: 29.97
    Pixel Aspect Ration: Widescreen 16:9
    Profile: Main
    Level 5.1
    VBR, 1 Pass
    Target Bitrate: 5
    Maximum Bitrate: 8

I’m trying to get it to a small size yet great quality so I can upload it to Vimeo. I used a preset I downloaded from a Vimeo tutorial but had to change some things such as the Frame Width/height. The preset wanted to do 1280×760 however it screwed up a scene in my video in which I used a garbage mask to do an effect and then all blew up/shifted some parts of video. When it was set to 1280×760, those scenes were not aligned (especially with the garbage mask). So I turned it back to 1440×1080 which fixed the problem. Not sure if this has anything or nothing to do with my issue.

Pixel Aspect Ration was also Square Pixels but changing that to Widescreen also helped my align issues.

    Thanks.

I just finished a 30 second spot with the same shot settings as yours, (30Fps, 1440×1080). Using Adobe Media Encoder, I exported the project as an Mpeg2 with the “HDTV 1080” setting.

It not only looks beautiful but it’s full HD and the file size is just around 65mb. Windows Media Player plays it with no lag or sync problems.

    Hope this helps.
