Video keeps pausing while editing HDV video with Black Magic Intensity
I bought a new PC desktop to edit HDV with CS4 and my Black Magic Intensity Pro. The machine works beautifully overall and has the power to deliver HDV.
Once and a while the timeline will just stop playing while I am previewing material in a DV timeline. But when I edit HDV, the video won’t play for longer than a few seconds making it impossible to edit. It doesn’t lag – it just stops playing and if I hit the spacebar again, playing will resume (for a few seconds again).
I notice in the bottom right hand corner where the red “x” shows that it adds a “dropped frame” entry every time the video pauses.
Any solutions to enhance my workflow?
