  • Video is made slightly faster on import to FCPX, now out of synch w audio!

I’ve imported a clip of me singing to a track I am making a quick video for. The video is shot at 1080p, .mov. On import it appears to be 23.98 FPS. It is shot with a Canon S100. I am lipsyncing to the track played back on the car stereo.

Only when I tried to synch with the imported clean audio did I realise the video is slightly faster in FCPX (and I can hear the pitch is ever so slightly higher). Playing the vid in VLC, no problem, no speeding up, so the problem is FCPX. Only I have no idea how to resolve it.

    Any help appreciated!

I created a new event / project, reimported everything and it is fine now.
