I’m new to After Effects. I want to place video inside my text. Meaning I have text over video and I want the video to be in the text. I have been looking everywhere on how to do that and I can’t figure it out. Thanks.

Search the Help for “track matte”.

You can use track matte just as Steve mentioned- duplicate the text layer ( in case you want to use the original plain text somehow), check the track matte option on the video layer that’s right under the text and you get text filled with video.
Another way to do it is have a separate comp for the text over a black solid and to bring that comp in over your video, turn visibility off and apply the Select Matte plugin to the video layer, choosing any of the RGB channels from your text comp layer to be used as a matte.
