  • Video in place of Picture, but i need a little help bending the video…

I am currently working on adding some video footage to a newspaper in after effects. The links to the pictures show the original footage, and what I am working on. The newspaper in the shot is not flat and so the video I need to put in place of the picture is looking out of place. The problem is I have gone through all the ideas I have of how to get it to fit with special effects like warp, bender and others in after effects, but each idea is not working.

    So here are the pictures:

This is the original footage. See the picture, I want to add video in its place, I have already achieved most of what I need, but it looks like this:

Notice that the video is not slightly curved like the newspaper so it covers part of the second smaller title above it and some of the caption text below it on the left corner. I do need to touch up my corner pin a little, but the “bend” is something I am unsure of how to accomplish.

Could anyone here give me some idea of how to bend this video layer into the right shape? Additionally the shot zooms in so whatever solution I come up with will need to also be able to be zoom able.

As always thanks for any and all help.

With regards to the zoom, just stabilize the shot first, so you composite in a still version, then reintroduce th ezoom when the comp works.

I think this shot should pose no problem for the “Bezier Warp” Effect.

    YES!

That was the best suggestion. Thank you. The bezier warp is what I was looking for but couldn’t find.

I would render and post, but I have to now replace some text in the newspaper. Need to do some more tracking. 🙂

    Thanks for your suggestion. 🙂
