  • Video in AE becomes lighter

When I import footage to AE, it gets lighter, loses contrast. But, if I scrub through the video, it looks ok while I”m moving around in it. When exported though, it looks lighter than the original. Is this a bug in the software or do I have a setting wrong?

    Thanks!

Also, this happens only with HD footage it seems.

Sounds like a video card issue…

…spec. (OS, computer and codec) information might be useful…

    It’s a 4 x 2.5 GHz G5 with 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM and I’m using AE 6.5
    The footage is 1920 X 1080 29.97

It’s DVCPRO HD captured with the AJA. I just checked it on another computer, and there’s the same problem, so I don’t think it’s a video card problem. Also, I’ve noticed that when I change from Full to Half resolution (or anything below Full) the footage goes back to the way it should look.
