Video Imported into Cubase Reading As Mismatch
Hi Everyone:
I am so confused. I imported my film 23,976/30fps into Cubase, and Cubase is reading that it’s a mismatch.
Has anyone here ever used Cubase? Has anything like this happened?
When I went into Project Setup and click Get From Video, it read 24 Frame Rate instead of 30 which it read after the original import. Even after I clicked Get From Video, it still read that it was a mismatch.
I’ve gone into the Steinberg forum to see if anyone there knew, but no answer yet. Since I am importing from a file I rendered from Sony, I thought I’d ask you.

I have no experience with Cubase, but can you manually put in the settings
of your choice? Instead of automatically selecting “Get from video”
If so manually input specifically 23,976 fps for your 23,976 film and see
if there is still a mismatch, Along with making sure the KHz and Kbps Audio settings match.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

It turns out that Cubase rounds it to 24 FPS. There doesn’t seem to be any place for me to manually change the settings. Do you think that if I went ahead and rendered it as 24 fps, the composition would fit properly since it’s just a fraction of a difference?

I use Blender 2.72b a 3D animation program. If you go to the bottom left corner just above the time line there is a view button where you can bring up the video sequence editor. in the viewport panel to the right are all the settings ie volume panning etc. Use shiftS to go to the cursor and k to cut, then x to delete.-down the bottom are start and end settings but the good thing with the animation settings you can adjust the frame rate render. And best of all it’s a free program to download. i also have problems with cubase 7.5 artist and the mismatch message comes up because you need to edit the format and unless you have an external dedicated video card and monitor you get a lot of problems.

This is very helpful. I just couldn’t understand why it kept reading mismatch. I’ve gone on to use another approach to getting my score done and left Cubase Artist 7 alone until I learn it better.
