I currently use YouTube for client reviews but want to start using a more professional platform, one that allows for unlisted password protected uploads and doesn’t show other people’s content next to my video or after it plays. I was looking a bunch of different sites but mainly:
    https://www.brightcove.com
    https://www.ooyala.com/
    https://vzaar.com/
    https://vimeo.com/
    https://wistia.com/

Of those I think Vzaar or Vimeo Pro are my top choices, mainly based on price for 1 year of service.
    Brightcove: $1200
    Ooyala: $6000
    Vzaar: $229
    Vimeo Pro: $200
    Wistia: $948

I signed up for a free trial of Vzaar but Vimeo Pro doesn’t offer one. Does anyone use either of these services and if so, what you do like or dislike about them? Would you suggest one over the other? Thanks!

I’ve been using cageapp.com with some success. It’s $15/mo, and the only catch is you can’t host more than 2GB at a time. But if that’s not a problem then it comes out cheaper than Vimeo Pro. Clients log in with a password and can’t see anything else except their videos. Notes can be made right on the timeline, so it takes email out of the equation. Still a young service and they’re still tweaking it but worth checking out.

    I use wetransfer.com

    it’s also 2GB but free.

no sign up required, only those who’s email address you enter get the files.

Thanks Chris! I hadn’t heard of Cage before but it definitely looks like a powerful platform for collaboration and reviews. Kind of reminds me of takeoffvideo.com but for more than just video.

I need closer to the 50GB a year offered by Vimeo though and it looks like with Cage that would be rather expensive (same with TakeoffVideo).

    Hi Dustin

We’ve been using a service called Interdubs for almost a year now and we’re really happy with the service. It’s been rock-solid, support is good and the pricing is fair. Speaking of pricing, you will only be charged for media that is on their servers at the end of each month which is awesome because it allows you to delete old media (when possible) and save money.

    Here’s a link to their site: https://www.interdubs.com

    Best of luck
