I’m editing some clips from an old video and have trouble with frame size. The source file parameters are Quicktime (.mov) 720×480 29.97fps 2500 bit rate. I am losing video on the top and the width is too small. I appreciate your patience with what I’m sure is a rookie mistake. What is the best framing option. I intend to add some transitions between clips and save the project for import into DVD Studio Pro. Thank you.

Try adjusting the distort to get the edges right. It will only require a small stretch and hopefully won’t make the women’s bottoms wider than they actually are.

If it does looked stretched and unnatural, a small increase in size of the overall clip in the basic motion tab which will zoom the edges out but clip headroom slightly more. You may need to trim centering to get an optimal framing.
