    Hi All

Wasn’t sure where to post this, so thought I’d try it here – if it’s in the wrong place, apologies in advance.

I was wondering about the best shooting format for best quality results for Facebook video specifically – I know they are more picky than youtube is

Is it better to shoot over, and do my own down conversion or just shoot it closer to what they are gonna make it to be? – I have heard they only allow 720p and 30 FPS max – but then I saw that some accounts allow for 1080 60FPS….

Just want to see what my best workflow is – I can shoot 2 different frame rates and Codecs at the same time (XF-605) – is it overkill to shoot these in 4k 60 intraframe at 410mps?

My thought was to shoot in 4k but at 30fps (actually 29.97) and have a proxy record 1080 or 720 MP4 with H.264

What would work best in you alls experiences with facebook video? esp 30 vs 60 fps debate.

    Thx all

I’d shoot 4kP30 since anything I record I may want to repurpose for YouTube.

Some believe downscaling will look better than targeting the 720 frame size but I haven’t experimented enough to determine that.
