Video Filters
I need to increase the brightness of a clip taken in low light. I am applying the Brightness and Contrast (Bezier) video filter by:
– dragging the filter from the Effects tab in the Browser to the clip in the timeline then
– selecting the filters tab in the Viewer and adjusting the brightness & contrast controls
This doesn’t seem to be having any effect on the image in the viewer or the canvas. I have also tried dragging the filter directly onto the clip in the Viewer but this hasn’t worked either.I have ticked the ‘filters’ selector in Render Control.
Can anyone help?

After you apply any filter, you have to double click the clip before you can adjust anything in the viewer. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Phil. I’ve been that far. Double click the clip and you can access the filter parameters in the viewer. Trouble is when you adjust the parameters, the clip is unaffected.
Note that I can now get the filters to work if I drag a clip from the browser directly into the viewer (or double click on the clip in the browser). Trouble is, filters are only effective when the clip is in the viewer. When I drag the filtered clip to the timeline, the filters fail to work, even if I reapply them to the clip in the timeline. It seems filters are not working in the timeline. I do have filters enabled in Timeline User Preference Options.
