Video File Size Issues – Adobe Encore CS5.5
Hi, Cow Folks. I have a couple of frustrating and perplexing issues which have presented themselves while trying to create my first dual layer Blu-ray:
(1)The files I have created are less than the disc’s physical capacity of 46.6 GB, but, after loading only two of the videos I need to use (a total of 29.8 GB), Encore (CS5.5) registers the disc as being full.
(2)I put the time and effort into creating what I thought would be Blu-ray compliant H.264 files via Adobe Media Encoder (Format: H.264 Blu-ray) prior to importing them to eiliminate the need to transcode any media. I have done this successfully with a single layer Blu-ray before. However, all four of my video files for this project import needing to be transcoded. Why?
The single layer Br files I made previously were 1 pass VBR @ 25/30 Mbps Target/Maximum, and one of these files imports into my current project correctly and does not need to be transcoded! My current video files were encoded as 2 pass VBR @ 15/19 Mbps Target/Maximum.
Why is Encore behaving so inaccurately and strangely with my 2 pass VBR .M4V files?
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
