We encoded more than 1000 videos for use in our flash video player. We used H264/mpeg4 AVC, Main Profile Level 2.2. (Audio is AAC Mpeg 4, 48khz).

Now we want to get these videos to play within an HTML5 player. They run fine on IOS devices but does not run at all on Android. When we attempt to run it, the video player shows a total run time of 0 and clicking play does nothing.

Any idea why this may be?

Is this because we encoded using the main profile when we should should have used baseline? If so, is there anything we can do short of re-encoding all of the videos. For example, is there a way to reinterpret the metadata within out software.
