    Hey Guys,

I believe this is an error as I am not adding this fade to any of my video. in some areas of my video track ill have events that are brought together and when I play back I will notice a split second of a black/blank screen in the preview. Upon zooming to the frame I’ll see a short fade which is causing the black screen. The fade is weird bc it ends at a 1/4 frame which manually vegas doesn’t even let you set fade at fractions of a frame.

I do have an audio track underneath it which weird enough, the end video fade was placed exactly at the end of audio (audio fades can end anywhere). Ive tried replicating this happening by splitting other event, grouping them, merging them together etc etc and I cant replicate it. But this has happened multiple times at different spots in my veg and I have to keep zooming in and removing the fade.

Is there some option that is making this happen?? thx in advance

I wouldn’t take that to the Bank . . . If you’ve got Quantize to Frames OFF you can slip and slide within Frame boundaries. Check to see if this is ON or OFF and test either way.

You are spot on. I unchecked quantize and it allowed me to slide anywhere. So I guess the question is why would these fades be placed without me placing them, and at such fractions of a frame. Shouldn’t be placed at all. I would think I manually did this by mistake somehow but no chance, especially at that fraction of a frame with the quantize check. It wouldn’t allow me to if I tried. So somehow this is automatically happening under whatever circumstance for some reason. Any clues?
