Video Equipment
Firstly, this question is in regard to VideoCopilot and AfterEffects users for 2 reasons:
1) So far I only intend to record footage for use in AfterEffects
2) This question came up after reading about the equipment Andrew K. uses.The thing is, I know nothing about video equipment, I am not technologically challenged however if you asked me what different lenses there are I’d just pout in misery.
Question is, what am I looking for if I want a camera capable of taking high quality footage, for an average user? What I intend to do is possibly film shorts for experimentation with special effects or footages for use in digital arts (clouds, water, ink etc) Mainly I am looking for things most people would look for, such as resolution and sharpness of footage for things like green screening for one and the examples listed above.
